Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk on May 5, 1998. She holds 12 WTA titles in her career, which includes that of the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist she has also won the US Open of 2019 as well as her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. Alongside her fellow Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also won the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making the Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples in female doubles. World singles rankings rose yet again, reaching its top position in January 2023. She rose to the top of the doubles ranking the next year after triumphing the doubles title in Melbourne. It made her the second Belarusian tennis player to achieve success in the field. Dmitry Tursunov coached her between 2018 until the close of 2019 and also a part of early 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach from 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are her greatest idols.
